Last updated 31 October 2026.
This notice explains, in plain English, what personal data we collect through this website, our waitlist and enquiry forms, our demo and sales-line calls, and orders, why we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
They Call We Book is a trading name of Daniels Bondars, trading as They Call We Book. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, or any other question, email us at privacy@theycallwebook.com (privacy@theycallwebook.com).
| What | Data | Why, and our lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Visiting the website | Your IP address, the pages you ask for, the time, and your browser's technical details. | To show you the site, keep it secure and stop abuse such as spam sign-ups (legitimate interests). We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics cookies. |
| Waitlist and enquiry forms | Your name, business name, email, phone number (optional on the waitlist), business type, and any message you write. | To reply to you and to contact you about They Call We Book, for example when a spot opens (steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interests in answering business enquiries). You can ask us to stop at any time. |
| Demo and sales-line calls in your browser | A recording of your voice, a written transcript, what you say (for example your name, business or contact details if you ask to join the waitlist), and the time and length of the call. | To run the call, answer your questions, add you to the waitlist if you ask, check call quality, fix mistakes and prevent misuse (legitimate interests). The demo takeaway is fictional: please don't give real personal or card details. |
| Orders (when you buy a plan) | Your name, business name, email, phone number, the plan you chose, your acceptance of our terms, and payment records. Card payments are handled by Stripe: we never see or store your full card number, and we never take card details by phone. | To set up and provide the service, take payment and support you (contract), and to keep accounting records (legal obligation). |
When we answer calls for a business that is our customer, that business decides how its callers' data is used and is the controller; we act on its instructions as its processor. Its own privacy notice applies to those calls.
Our demo and sales-line calls are answered by an AI assistant, not a person, and every call says so at the start, along with the fact that the call may be recorded. The AI turns your speech into text, works out a reply and speaks it. It does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Calls last at most 5 minutes. If you'd rather not be recorded, don't start the call: email us instead.
We don't sell your data. We use these service providers (processors), who handle it only on our instructions:
We may also share data if the law requires it, or with professional advisers.
Some of these providers (for example Retell AI, its AI model providers and Stripe) are based in the United States, and Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, so your data may be processed outside the UK. When it is, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or by the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us for details.
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it (including an absolute right to stop any marketing), and to have data you gave us sent to you or another organisation. Email privacy@theycallwebook.com (privacy@theycallwebook.com). It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may need to check who you are first.
If you're unhappy with how we've used your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.
Our services are for businesses and are not aimed at children. We'll update this notice when how we use data changes, and change the date at the top.
